Hardys became the first wine brand to sponsor the 5 year-old Restaurant Week Jamaica (RWJ) in 2010. They wanted to raise the visibility of the Hardy’s wine brand, the RWJ wine special and help drive sales across the 60 participating restaurants during 7 days of Restaurant Week Jamaica.
We created a 7 day Facebook promotion which mashedup an editorial calendar and schedule of wine tips, quotes, daily competitions and elicited wine related stories from the 10,000 Restaurant Week Jamaica Facebook Foodies community during prime evening hours. It was an hour of promotions and competitions.
On average, one hour every day of engaging fans with giveaways generated 200 comments, 20,000 post impressions and helped the Restaurant Week Jamaica Facebook Fan Page to grow and additional 15% Fans above of its normal daily fan growth. Wene sales during the 7 day long Restaurant Week Event were robust. It was declared a resounding success by Lascelles Wine & Spirits Division.
